The King is born!
The Day has come, Christmas is here and Santa left our under the tree filled with presents, but what really matters in this precise moment is who we spend your quality time with.
Without wanting to be a rule in my post, I can hardly not connect the highly emotional moments in my life with the music that manages to make them even more real, if that is really possible ;). This is the reason that I chose The King Creole to be my fashion companion for this special Christmas Day design. Blue Christmas is clearly one of the classics but for me “blue” is always a transitory phase, it’s the moment of solitude that makes us all want to be better for the ones we love, no matter if they are the ones we lost, the ones we just parted from for a little while or the ones that will come into our future.
Tartan was a fabric that intrigued me ever since I was young and always used it in one way or another in many of my fashion collections but now it seemed even better than on the other occasions. It fit in perfectly in the scene I tried to bring to life and I feel it completed the picture in a great way.
People always say that blue is cold and, in some cases, sad, but it is not my case. Blue is what you want it to be, is an amplifier for one’s true state of mind. In this case, She dressed for the magic night in a maxi tartan dress, not the one of her clan’s but the one to present herself to her Prince.
I’ll leave you to see what words can hardly express and hope you will enjoy it in the Yul spirit wherever you are.
